The Tourists

Keith Bennett

Keith was the lucky winner of this great trip provided by Wotif.com. He is excited to be travelling to Ireland with three mates for a week exploring the history, visiting the Guinness Brewery and travelling to some of Ireland’s spectacular countryside.

This is his fourth trip to Ireland and makes him the ideal tour guide for his travelling companions. He has co-ordinated an itinerary for the trip which involves plenty of cultural, sporting and recreational activities. There has been also plenty of time left to relax and enjoy a drink or two.

Making this a great tie-in with the prize, in his spare time for a hobby Keith is a collector of brewery memorabilia specializing items from the Guinness Brewery.

Dave Rial

Dave is one of the two first time international tourists on the trip. (No Dave, a week on Norfolk Island is not international travel !!)

Dave lives in Wagga Wagga, and is a retired fireman. He and his wife have spent a lot of time travelling around Australia towing a caravan. It will be interesting to see how he goes staying on his own and in motel rooms for a change.

Dave is our oldest tour member and other than asking a lot of silly questions will be trying to get as many seniors discounts for the group as possible.

Barry Rhall

Barry is a seasoned tourist, having filled many passports over many years now. This has allowed him to gain an insight to the cultural diversity that can be found in the local drinking establishments worldwide. He will be able to lead many adventures on this trip.

He is keen South Sydney rugby league supporter and has noted that the Rabbits always seem to go better when he is travelling (Might be a good time for everybody to put some money on them).
This will be Barry’s second trip to Ireland, having spent some time here previously whilst following a Kangaroo Tour.

Neil Thomas

Neil is the other first time international tourist travelling with the group. He claims to have had a tour to Bali once many years ago, but is very sketchy on the details. Living in Echuca, Neil runs his own museum, called The Great Aussie Beer Shed (yes it is real, look it up on the internet). He has the largest collection of brewery collectables in Australia and also has a huge collection of Horse Drawn farm machinery and Australian memorabilia from pre 1900.

He has spent many years travelling around Australia and is excited to be travelling to Ireland. He will be casing the city and countryside for items to add to his museum.
